- Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord and World Health Organization
This order has sparked much controversy among the masses. The Paris Climate agreement sought to unify the nations towards an equal effort at lowering the disastrous effects of climate change. This agreement was set in 2016, yet despite the trillions of dollars poured into it thus far, carbon emission continue to rise to record breaking levels. This has left a large section of tax payers feeling disappointed and defeated. Donald Trump therefore, in response to the outcry of these people made the decision Jan 20th, to remove ourselves from the Climate Accords. It is likely a new climate plan will be instated as soon as one more effective surfaces. For now, Donald Trump intend on using the money now present in absence of the climate accords expense to lower inflation.
Similarly, the World Health Organization or WHO is receiving a very large amount of its funding from the United States. More specifically, the United States accounts for around 15% of the total funding it receives whicis massive in comparison to most European countries contributing around 2-3%. while some this disparity in contributions may be due to the disparities between the shared global GDP, however even taking GDP disparities into account it is very clear the United States has been very lenient with its money. Now some are questioning if a complete exit from the WHO was necessary as opposed to a simple decrease. Among all this controversy and fear, one light at the end of the tunnel stand that with this new money available to use towards Americans, it is likely that we will be seeing significant changes economically and architecturally. Hopefully the issues American have had for decades with out health systems, school systems and justice systems will finally be addressed.
2. ALL Federal employees must return to in person full-time work
This executive order has been a long time coming, the lack of attendance at the office the American people gave is nothing but a spit in the face. If you are willing to adopt the large possibility of overseeing an area or organization, the bare minimum ask is attendence. This executive order, unlike many of the others on this list is very bipartisan. Execpt for the politicans it effects, who took to the streets almost immediatley to wine in a pitchy microphone. Its about time our government officals were required the same attendance that the eveyday American is at their job. The number of Federal employees that do not show up to their tax payer provided office was overstated however. Much large media outrage was had over what Speaker Mike Johnson said that what was likely an exageration, “Only 1% show up to work” this is not the case. The reality-to Speaker Johnsons credit- is not much better…. 54%, around half. Still incredably embarissing to the American people.
3. The Deportation orders
President Donald Trump first introduced this order in 2019, however this was overturned by the Biden administration and replaced with a “catch and release” policy. With the new introduction of this policy in the Presidents second term, much misinformation about the contents of trumps deportation policies have began to grow really popular. Trump has entrusted Tom Homan to be the “Border Czar”, in this he brought up in a recent interview when asked about the concern of family seperation in deportation, he responded “Deport them together”. Previously, someone could illegally enter the country, have a child, then that child would have automatic Citizenship. The moral dilemma that arises from this comes when the mother and/or father is deported, often that child will then have to be put into the foster care system causing them much unneeded trauma. The “Deport them together” policies intentions is not to just lower the immigration number, but to prevent the seperation of families that often occurs in mixed citizenship families. While it is an unfortunate circumstance that someone born in America would be deported to a country they arent from, the argument is that it would be more humane to keep the child together with its Parents. As far as the morality of deportation of illegal immigrants, it is the right thing to do to ensure that all immigrants are documented so that they have the protections provided under our Laws. For example, an illegal immigrant can work a 40-50 hour week an get paid much less than minimum wage, or they could simply not be payed at all. Donald Trump has been and has continued to be very pro-immigration as long as it is legal. Truth is illegal immigartion is not fair to the immigrant or the citizens. So this executive order will reinstate fairness within our labour jobs and immigration acceptance.
4. Designating Cartels as foreign terrorist organizations
Another common issue brought up with the “Remain in Mexico” order is the vulnarbility of the Mexican people to the Cartel. This executive order proritizes resolving that issue. For too long we have went over sees to defend countries from tyrannical organization who were harming the innocent despite that very same issue being right at our nations feet. Cartel violence in Mexico and most of South America has been on a rapid increase for a long time
Defining Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations could bring significant benefits for U.S. national security. This designation, as supported by figures like Senator Tom Cotton, would unlock powerful legal and military tools to combat these criminal enterprises.
First, it would allow the U.S. to leverage anti-terrorism laws, such as the Patriot Act, to block previous income aquired by the cartel, disrupt their financial networks, and prosecute members more aggressively. Cartels all over South America generate billions annually, often laundering money through U.S. banks. According to the DOJ the Sinoloa drug cartel is a prominent example of this. Labeling them terrorists would choke these funds, weakening their operation and making them more seceptable to being brought to justice.
Second, it would enable military and intelligence resources to be deployed against cartel leadership, similarly to operations countering ISIS or Al-Qaeda. Drone strikes, special forces raids, and enhanced surveillance could dismantle key figures and infrastructure, reducing the flow of fentanyl and other drugs that kill tens of thousands of Americans yearly, as well as the horrifically large sex traffic industry through the boarder. The counter terrorism forces being used against the Cartel will not only give security to the American people, but the South American people as well. These people have been living in frequent fear, afterall, these homicidal maniacs hold more power than many of their governments and law enforcement combined. This American involvement provides a source of hope, they arent forgotten, people are fighting for them, we are fighting for them.
Finally, this move would pressure Mexico to act authoritativey against cartels, as failure to comply would hurt their diplomatic relations with the United States. Since Mexico is currently fearful of the potential terrifs that may be brought forth, its unlikely the’ll risk doing anything to compromise relations. It signals a hardline stance, aligning with conservative calls for sovereignty and border security, while countering progressive arguments for decriminalization that often downplay cartel violence.
Politicians against U.S. involvement are concerned militarizing the border and escalating tensions with Mexico, but the Affirmation counters that the cartels’ “reign of terror”—beheadings, mass graves, and corruption—already parallels a warlike threat, With over 100,000 overdose deaths linked to cartel-supplied drugs in 2023 alone, and several thousand North and South Americans being kidnaped and sold into sex slavery. Designating cartels as terrorists is a bold, necessary step to protect both North and South American lives and assert control over a chaotic border.
Many more executive orders are to come, with those, so will our analysis. God bless.
